Primrose House is the smaller of the two sister nurseries, creating a nurturing, home-like atmosphere nestled in the heart of Haywards Heath.
About Primrose House
Nestled in the heart of Haywards Heath, we’re conveniently located near several primary schools. Our nursery features two rooms upstairs: the Seedling Room and the Rose Room, as well as the Lavenders and Poppies rooms downstairs. Additionally, we have a dedicated Montessori classroom where our Montessori teacher works with small groups for a quieter, more focused learning experience, covering various aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Our management team has a wealth of experience, with Miss Natasha being with us for 18 years and Miss Jade for 21 years. We’re very proud of our team and the nurturing environment we provide.
Our Nursery
Baby Room – Seedlings
The baby room routines closely match that of your home routine, including your child’s own sleep routine. Our babies enjoy a cosy sleep in the room which they know and feel safe in, surrounding by familiar staff and friends.
Our planning and observations will be tailored to each child, allowing opportunities for them to fully explore and comprehend each specific interest at a time. Our baby room reflects a home like atmosphere ensuring the children feel safe, secure and relaxed at all times.
Toddler Room – Roses
Our toddler room is engaging, full of fun and has enough space busy toddlers!
Our room provides endless opportunities for toddlers to fully play, explore and learn in whatever way they want to. Allowing a flexible environment to change and cater for their current needs and interests at any stage. Our toddlers will be given the opportunity to manage their own risks, engage in exciting activities and allow their imagination to go wild with our loose part provocations.
Pre-school – Lavender & Poppy
Our preschool is designed with the children at the heart of everything we do and offer. Our room is mouldable and changeable to grow and develop with the preschoolers. With constant free flow to our beautiful garden our preschool children are able to learn skills which will last a lifetime.
Our resources and provocations are planned specifically for our children within the room at that time, we allow for opportunities to spark their natural curiosity while building on their interests and skills. The loose parts provided within the room enable plenty of risk taking, problem solving and creative play.

Jade
Nursery Manager
Hi, I’m Jade, and I’m proud to be part of the management team at Primrose House Montessori. I started my career in childcare straight after college and have been working for the company for 21 years. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles, which has given me a wealth of experience and strengthened my passion for supporting young children in their early years.
Alongside my career, I attended university and achieved my Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) qualification. I love being part of a team that creates a warm, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child feels happy, safe, and encouraged to learn through play and exploration. Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues is one of the things I enjoy most about my role.
Outside of nursery, I love spending quality time with my family and friends. I also enjoy travelling and exploring different cultures, as I find it inspiring to experience new places and learn about different ways of life.
